Residents of Thailand were shocked and amused when fish rained down from the sky on Tuesday.

Passersby were awestruck as hundreds of fish fell from the sky, all over the road

Monsoon winds lifted the fish from the river and the Indian and Pacific oceans.

People attributed the anomaly to their religious deity.

UPDATE: According to other reports in the media, the series of photographs showing thousands of dead fish in the street actually belong a story about a truck spill in the Guizhou province of China in March.
